]Nuts are a great source of fiber and a wonderful pick-me-up when you are lagging. This recipe takes those wonderful nuts and adds a little spice to them! For anyone who's following a Paleo diet they make a great snack to eat on the go without having to worry about avoiding grains or other non-Paleo foods.

Ingredients

  • ⅔ cup almonds
  • ⅔ cup pecans
  • ⅔ cup walnuts
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Celtic sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Steps

  1. Put the nuts into the cast-iron skillet over medium heat.
  2. Toast them until they are lightly browned.
  3. Prepare the spice mixture while the nuts are toasting.
  4. Mix the chili, cumin, black pepper and salt in the bowl.
  5. Coat the nuts with olive oil and then coat them with the spice mixture.

Tips

  • If you have issues with any of the nuts in the recipe just switch them out for some other nuts that don't bother you.
